Individual Therapy

Service Description

One-on-one sessions for adults. Individual therapy provides a safe place to explore your thoughts and emotions, process your history, learn healthy coping skills, and gain insight into making desired changes. I am a Making Sense of Your Worth Facilitator, as well as, utilize The Daring Way methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead. My belief as a clinician holds that the most useful tool in therapy is the collaborative relationship between therapist and client. I operate from what is often referred to as a psychodynamic or relational psychodynamic approach. In therapy our tasks are to build a trusting relationship, to discover and understand your beliefs and feelings on their deepest levels, to discover how your history and experiences have shaped your beliefs, and then to address how these beliefs and feelings have helped you as well as limited you. Some common concerns include depression, anxiety, processing traumatic experiences, eating disorders, self-harm, struggling in relationships, parenting, faith crises, self-confidence, and addictive behaviors.
